JULY: Summer Cooling with Ghosts

JULY: Summer Cooling with Ghosts

⭐ July is a season where the night sky of the Japanese summer intersects with the world of imagination passed down through generations. Immerse yourself softly in the world of ghost stories and folklore, enjoying a fantastic and humorous Japanese summer cooling experience. Connect with the Yokai (monsters) lurking in the Takanawa area, which once bustled as the historical gateway to Edo where many people and stories crossed paths.

Highlights
💡 "Let's Create a Modern Night Parade of One Hundred Demons: Memories of Takanawa" — a unique workshop to create new Yokai (supernatural monsters) based on motifs reflecting Takanawa's history, such as Japan's first railway, the Takanawa Embankment, and the Takanawa Okiido Gate (the historical boundary of Edo).
🚄 Savor freshly made Japanese sweets transported directly from Sendai via the "Hakobyun" Shinkansen high-speed rail delivery service.
🍡 Savor Sendai's famous chilled "Zunda Mochi" from the renowned Endo Mochiten, filled with the refreshing aroma of edamame.
