That legendary Expo experience finally arrives in Tokyo. We can live the lives we truly want to live.
Posing the fundamental questions of "What is a human?" and "What is life?", this exhibition deeply resonates with the museum's seasonal theme: "Life as Culture." Crossing the boundaries between science and the humanities, this project confronts crucial questions of our existence. It offers people of all generations a fresh, intellectually stimulating experience that shakes the very roots of life.

📅 Dates and Time: Saturday, July 25 – Friday, September 25, 2026 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Last entry at 7:50 PM)
*The 10:00 AM session will be conducted with English audio.
*Closed on Monday, August 3 during the Phase 1 period.
⏳ Duration: Approx. 45 minutes *Guests will experience the exhibition wearing headphones.
*Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis upon arrival. You may have to wait for entry during busy periods.
*Multiple groups will experience the venue simultaneously. Please enter following the instructions of the staff.
*To ensure smooth entry, please arrive before the entry deadline for your session.
*Please use the restroom before putting on the headphones.
*If you arrive late, you may have to wait before being admitted.

Description
Relive the wonder of the Expo. Approaching the question "What is life?" through cutting-edge android technology, this exhibition recreates the futuristic story that captivated audiences at the Expo within a state-of-the-art theater space. It is a memorable, deeply moving experience where science and philosophy intertwine through your five senses. Supervised by Hiroshi Ishiguro, a leading pioneer in robotics and android research, the exhibition has been specially reconfigured for MoN Takanawa. Blending science and the humanities, this project aligns perfectly with our museum's seasonal theme: "Life as Culture." In addition, a new scenario exploring "choices for the future of life" has been added to the story set 50 years in the future, expanding on the dialogue between the androids. Furthermore, visitors can now engage in conversations with an AI-powered android, offering an interactive and realistic experience. (*An additional dedicated ticket is required for the interactive dialogue experience with the android. Ticket details and sales methods will be announced soon).
