Description
The Kadokawa Musashino Museum (Director: Akira Ikegami) is a cultural complex that combines a library, art gallery, and museum. Under the supervision of Seigow Matsuoka (First Director/Editorial Engineer), Hiroshi Aramata (Naturalist), Kengo Kuma (Architect), and Shingo Jinno (Art Studies/Art Education), the facility broadcasts culture from multiple perspectives, ranging from mainstream to pop culture. The 1st floor features the "Grand Gallery," the museum's largest exhibition space, and the "Manga & Light Novel Library," housing over 40,000 volumes. The 2nd floor serves as the entrance with the ticket counter. On the 4th floor, you can enjoy an area where the library, museum, and art gallery are "mixed" together, including the "Edit Town - Book Street" with 25,000 books selected by Seigow Matsuoka, the "ARAMATA Wunderkammer (Museum)" featuring diverse exhibits curated by Hiroshi Aramata, the "Edit & Art Gallery" where objects and words create new value, and the "Bookshelf Theater," a 360-degree library space surrounded by 8-meter-high bookshelves where projection mapping is shown. Finally, the 5th floor features the "Musashino Gallery" and "Musashino Corridor," dedicated to exhibitions and books related to the Musashino area. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind experience.
