Description
Mystery of the Christ of the Gascons is the most iconic production in the remarkable and thorough history of Nao d'amores, a company that, since its inception in 2001, has expertly navigated the Spanish pre-baroque dramatic repertoire. This award-winning stage production, which debuted in 2007 and has toured across Europe and America, offers a profound dive into our early theater from an entirely contemporary perspective. It is a free reinterpretation of the liturgical ceremony that was once performed at the Church of San Justo in Segovia, for which the Christ of the Gascones, one of the most important pieces of Spanish Romanesque heritage, was sculpted.
