Don’t Believe the Hype… Uncovering the Artwork of Arctic Monkeys’ Debut Album is a temporary exhibition presented by the British Music Experience, exploring the creation and cultural legacy of one of the most recognisable album covers of the 21st century: Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not, the 2006 debut by Arctic Monkeys. Running from 23 January to 7 June 2026, the exhibition is included with all general admission tickets.

From Freddie Mercury’s legendary outfits to Adele’s handwritten lyrics, the British Music Experience brings UK music history to life through costumes, memorabilia, and interactive exhibits.
