Description
KAIMoN Music Festival – Open the MoN– is a music festival that celebrates the "opening of the gate" (Kaimon) of MoN Takanawa while presenting a new live experience where contemporary music meets traditional Japanese performing arts and physical expression. The production utilizes real-time linkage between sound, light, and visuals to bring the stage to life as "visualized sound." With a hybrid composition of digital and analog and a 3D sound design, it creates an experience that immerses your entire body.

ROTH BART BARON
ROTH BART BARON is a folk-rock band from Tokyo, Japan, formed in 2009 around singer-songwriter Masaya Mifune. The band has built a strong presence at major music festivals, including multiple appearances at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. Blending a sense of vast, nature-inspired scale with US indie–rooted band ensembles, they construct a distinctive soundscape that boldly incorporates modern technology.
Their lyrical world, closely intertwined with beautiful melodies, blurs the boundary between reality and the inner lives of its protagonists as they sway within the context of their time. Through this ambiguity, the songs portray themes of emotional recovery and rebirth, seeking to reclaim what is fundamentally human. This organic and open-ended musical approach continues to captivate music fans not only in Japan but around the world.

Taro Ishida
Born in Boston. After completing graduate studies at Tokyo University of the Arts, he composed his first Gagaku (Japanese imperial court music) piece in 2014, earning high praise from Ryuichi Sakamoto. In 2022, he served as the Lead Arranger for the drama series "SHOGUN," for which he received Emmy and Grammy nominations. Currently, he is active in a wide range of fields including composition, stage direction, and production, creating a unique form of expression that fuses Gagaku with contemporary music.
