Description
Japanese traditional performing arts are the distillation of sophisticated skills polished over centuries. The "MoN Kabuki Dance Performance" presents these peak techniques alongside modern visuals to create a cultural bridge to the next 100 years. By incorporating archival commentary, technical explanations, and innovative visual effects, we offer a reimagined Kabuki experience that makes the actor’s craft feel intimate and immediate. This project reconstructs Kabuki as a "living archive" to be handed to the future, presenting a new form of cultural heritage.

The first installment features the crowning jewel of onnagata (female role) dance: Kyōkanoko Musume Dōjōji. It stars Kikugoro Onoe VIII, who has garnered significant acclaim since his succession to the name last year. Watch as the dancing maiden Hanako arrives at the bell-consecration ceremony of Dojoji Temple, transforming from innocence to glamour, and finally to madness, portrayed through vivid costume changes (hikinuki) and a variety of dance styles. Special video content will also be screened.
