Event Details

📍MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives

⭐ From the cosmos to Jomon pottery, the Yamanote Line circling Tokyo, the daily routine of housework, Mongolian nomads living as if on a journey, our fingerprints, hair whorls, and even the loops of human thought—this intellectual entertainment experience invites you to engage in a dialogue with the spirals of all times and places. Exploring the universal power embedded in the spiral form across art, society, technology, science, and traditional culture, the exhibition leads you to encounter your own “inner spiral.”

  • 🌀 An exhibition focusing on the “spirals” that have shaped society and civilization
  • 🌍 Discover the countless spirals hidden in everyday life from multiple perspectives
  • 💡 A journey through spiral stories from across time and space, spanning 6 ZONES with an audio guide.

The "Spiral" is the keyword symbolizing the future activities of MoN Takanawa. It embodies the birth of new culture through the mixing of people, the past and future, and diverse fields of knowledge. This movement mirrors a spiral shape—a form reflected in the architecture and logo of MoN Takanawa and the very core philosophy of this facility.

The Grand Opening Special Exhibition, "The Spiral Exhibition," is the first to deliver this philosophy as a tangible experience. Centered on the universal spiral form that has supported human evolution, the exhibition explores the diverse cycles, repetitions, and rotations found throughout our world—from natural cycles and urban renewal to the flow of the human body and thought. This is an intellectual entertainment experience where you can encounter new ways of seeing the world and living your life while traversing art, society, technology, and traditional culture with an audio guide. This exhibition marks the starting point for MoN Takanawa and serves as a symbolic theme for its future.
