Description
Inoidel González, a gifted tenor saxophonist, graduated in 1996 from the prestigious Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA) in Havana, Cuba. During his classical music studies, he emerged as a standout jazz talent, performing with celebrated pianist Roberto Fonseca at Cuba's "Rolling Stone" jazz festival, presided over by the legendary Chucho Valdés. Alongside his jazz endeavors, he collaborated with renowned Cuban salsa orchestras, including Isaac Delgado, Pablito F.G. y su Élite, and El Médico de la Salsa. Renowned producer Javier Limón brought Inoidel into his label, opening doors to collaborations with icons of the Spanish music scene such as Andrés Calamaro, Ana Belén, Concha Buika, Francisco Céspedes, and Ainhoa Arteta. Inoidel toured globally with Victoria Abril, performing the album "Putcheros do Brasil" for two years. His contributions to the recordings of Estrella Morente, Niño Josele, and Antonio Carmona further solidify his reputation as a versatile artist. Inoidel’s talent extends to film, having played a part in the soundtrack for "Chico y Rita", which won Best Original Music at the Acadèmia del Cinema Català. He also contributed to Pedro Almodóvar's "La piel que habito" (The Skin I Live In), appearing as a musical actor. Now based in Madrid, Inoidel continues his international tours, accompanying esteemed artists like El Barrio and Alain Pérez. Passionate about nurturing new talent, he actively promotes young musicians through jam sessions at the city's most iconic venues. Recently, Inoidel has ventured into composition, preparing to release his debut album, marking an exciting new chapter in his expansive musical career. Get your tickets for Segojazz: The Inoidel Gonzalez Project in Segovia!
