The Atlantic Quartet is a string quartet whose resume gives it special prominence in the Brazilian chamber music scene. It is formed by young musicians who meet in the city of Rio de Janeiro and bring to life an aesthetic experience of great artistic and musical affinity. Now in its 13th year, the group stands out for combining the European traditional repertoire with the Brazilian repertoire for the formation, always bringing compositions of great relevance and quality, but still little disseminated.
The members: Ivan Scheinvar and Thiago Teixeira, violins; Luiz Felipe Ferreira, viola; and Bruno Valente, cello.
