A leading figure in contemporary minimalist music

An emblematic artist of the French scene and winner of the Victoire de la Musique award in 1999, Vanessa Wagner is recognized both for her interpretations of the great classical repertoire and for her ventures into contemporary music, especially works of the minimalist movement. Described by Le Monde as “the most distinctive pianist of her generation,” she will showcase her specialties in the O Globo/Dellarte Series recital with a program that alternates Baroque preludes by J. S. Bach with piano studies by the American composer Philip Glass.
