This was a great, fun activity for Mother’s Day. The instructions were easy to follow and the clues and puzzles well thought through. We saw some great parts of the West End and it really makes you notice things you would otherwise miss. Brilliant from start to finish!

Such an enjoyable time. We took a leisurely approach, pausing for coffee (and cake) at the end of each leg so had a wonderful 4 hours! We were still competitive on the timed legs. The puzzles are just the right level of difficulty and they make you go down streets you'd never go down and look at things you'd miss. An excellent way to enjoy London, time with friends and puzzling. It is a very well run process too, with clear communication throughout your Race.

Is the experience the same across all locations?

No! Just as no two cities are the same, neither are these experiences — you'll get new physical puzzles to solve, new characters to meet and new routes to unlock wherever you decide to race.

How does the race work?

Race Across the World: The Experience is a live adventure split into three legs. You'll race entirely on foot, and how you get to and from checkpoints will be decided by your in-game choices. You'll also solve physical puzzles, “buy” directions using in-game currency and discover hidden gems along the way.

How long is the experience?

The experience lasts about 2-3 hours without breaks. The fastest completion time is under 1 hour, so get as competitive as you like! Along the way, you'll have the chance to rest up at checkpoints where the race timer pauses.

How physical is the experience?

The experience is a foot race, and involves 2-3 hours of walking across approximately 3-5 kilometres (2-3.1 miles). If you want to run, we won't stop you — but if you'd prefer to take your time and soak up the sights, we support that decision too. No matter your speed, you'll get the chance to relax, grab refreshments and rest up at checkpoints.

Is there a minimum age?

All ages are welcome to take part — each team must include at least one adult aged 16 or over, and children under 10 go free with a paying adult. Selecting the “Family-Friendly” option doesn't change the difficulty, but ensures checkpoint stops are suitable for families.

Does the race involve public transport?

No — participants race between checkpoints entirely on foot, without using any public transport. Start and finish locations are near public transport links for ease of access.

Is it accessible?

Yes. The route is fully wheelchair accessible (select this when setting up your team), the game runs on your own device so the interface is one you're already familiar with, and free tickets are available for accompanying carers or support workers — just email in advance to arrange.

How many people can be on a team?

Each team has a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 8. For bookings with more than one team, one person should book on behalf of everyone so all players end up on the same booking.

Can I change the date or time of my booking?

Yes — we do our best to be flexible and are happy to reschedule where capacity allows. Fill in the alter-booking form and we'll confirm by email once it's sorted.

Can I bring my dog?

By all means — you're welcome to bring your four-legged teammate along. Just select the dog-friendly route while setting up your race. Guide dogs are welcome on any route.

What if I don't have a great time?

Let us know why and we'll refund you in full.

Do I need to know the show to enjoy it?

Not at all — fans will spot a few Easter eggs, but newcomers will have no trouble understanding the rules. It's a game for everyone.
