Description
It's the last day of the old library. The door opens and Matías, the librarian, enters. Several books fall to the floor and, suddenly, a fairy begins to flutter among the shelves. Matías asks her where she came from. But the characters in the books lose their memory when they leave their stories. Could it be Little Red Riding Hood? Or Jack and the Giant Beanstalk? Maybe it's the story of the genie in the lamp... The librarian will open many of our favorite stories and go through their adventures until he discovers who this mysterious fairy is. We will have dozens of puppets of all sizes, shadow theater, and all kinds of stages creating an amazing spectacle. This is achieved by combining the closeness and naturalness conveyed by the actor with the magic of the puppets. The librarian will guide us through this fantastic world, recreating a beautiful metaphor about reading. Like folk tales, the show also seeks to teach. It seems that the time of fairies and giants, and even libraries, is over. It seems that adventures, heroes, and books have been forgotten. It seems that the swords that pierced imagination and reality in the same room no longer exist. That is why La Tartana aims to create a bridge between this fantastical world and everyday life. It aims to help us take off again from anywhere, to see the treasure where there are only four stones or a beautiful hat when it is only made of newspaper.
