The weekend of October 3–5, the city of Segovia once again commemorates one of its most important historical events: the Proclamation of Isabella the Catholic as Queen of Castile on December 13, 1474. To mark the occasion, the city will travel back to the 15th century with a variety of period activities and events focused on medieval music and dance. The highlight is the reenactment of the Proclamation ceremony in the Cathedral courtyard on Saturday, October 4 — a historic theatrical performance with limited access in a unique setting. That day, you’ll also witness the arrival of the royal procession as it makes its way from the Alcázar to the Plaza Mayor.
