Description
We begin the penultimate stage of the Way of St. Fructus by crossing part of the Huertas de Caballar, one of the most iconic landscapes in this region of the province. From here, we enter the heart of Segovia’s cereal-producing countryside, arriving in Muñoveros—the town where the commoner Juan Bravo once lived and, according to tradition, is buried. While in Muñoveros, we’ll visit its parish church before continuing our journey. Next, we enter the pine forests and poplar groves surrounding the town, following the banks of the Cega River. After crossing the river, we reach the deserted village of Frades, where only the church remains as a silent witness of its past. Our path then leads us through wide meadows alongside the Cega River, eventually arriving at Puebla de Pedraza. From there, we depart via the Valdemazo meadow, finishing the stage in Cabezuela, right in the town’s main square. Get your tickets for Way of St. Fructus, 4th Stage: Caballar - Cabezuela!
