Description
We'll depart from Espirdo and head toward the town of Tizneros, where you'll be able to visit the Church of San Juan Degollado. From there, the route continues through meadows and pastures offering stunning views of the Guadarrama mountain range. After crossing the Polendos stream, we’ll arrive in Basardilla to see the old horseshoeing frame and the Church of San Bartolomé. We’ll exit Basardilla along the Calvario path, passing through a varied landscape of pastures and ash groves separated by traditional dry-stone walls. After crossing the Pirón River, we’ll reach the end of the leg: the village of Santo Domingo de Pirón, home to an ancient Romanesque church and fortified bell tower.
