Alceu ValenƧa is a successful Brazilian singer/songwriter and the creator of a distinctive musical style that mixes his northeastern roots (SĆ£o Bento do Una, in the state of Pernambuco) and contemporary MPB grooves. He is also an energetic, even mesmerizing live performer! Alceu recreates Northeastern traditional music, like baiĆ£o, coco, toada, maracatu, frevo, caboclinhos, embolada and repentes. His music and his themes are intangible, universal and unlimited; his aesthetic basis, however, has always been genuine Brazilian Northeastern music.
