Description
The early 19th century has been described as the first golden age of guitar music. While classical music has traditionally been perceived as a male-dominated affair, many women composers throughout history have also written unique and expressive works, unfortunately lost in the sands of time. This is a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of expression, formal mastery and emotional heights of those unjustly neglected works. What's more, the space where the music will play was once the room where 19th century women went through surgery without anaesthesia!
