🕒 Time: Your desired time slot for entry is booked when purchasing tickets online. The duration of your stay on the mountain is then unlimited; you should plan about an hour for the walking tour itself.
📍 Location: Mariazeller Bürgeralpe, starting at the valley station directly in the center of Mariazell.
♿ Accessibility: The Bürgeralpe Express provides barrier-free access to the mountain. Please note that the paths on the mountain can be wintry and bumpy in places (forest and gravel paths).

High above Mariazell, the Lichterzauber opens once again this year. The idyllic Holzknechtland transforms into a sparkling winter world that invites you to marvel. Stroll along the illuminated circular trail past fascinating light installations. The absolute highlights include the impressive water show at the mountain lake and the Talking Book, which tells a story.
In October 2026, the Bürgeralpe will also show its eerie side for the first time with the Gruselglanz. A separate area of the circular trail will be specially designed to be extra creepy, giving young fans, families, and hardcore Halloween enthusiasts a good scare.
The magical experience is accompanied by culinary delights at the mountain inn and fine hot drinks at the Ark of the Forest by the mountain lake. Finally, the cable car takes you back down to the valley.
