Description
We are looking forward to the prize-winning string quartet of this year's ARD Music Competition! The competition, founded in 1952 by the broadcasting stations of the Federal Republic of Germany, takes place every year in September in Munich and includes a total of 21 categories. This year, it will be held in, among others, the string quartet discipline.
Over the years, the ARD Music Competition has developed into a highly respected institution that provides young musicians with a platform for international comparison and valuable performance opportunities. In addition to solo performances and chamber music concerts, the prize winners have the opportunity to perform with renowned orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Since 2001, the competition has also strengthened the presence of new music by commissioning contemporary composers.
