Raising Money for Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Charity, join the 2015 Christmas Number One charting choir for a night of hearty carols. The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir were first seen on Gareth Malone’s BBC2 show, ‘Sing While You Work’. Since then they have gone from strength-to-strength.
Riding an overwhelming wave of support from healthcare workers and the public they released the single: ‘A Bridge Over You’ and landed the much coveted Christmas Number 1 spot on the official UK chart in 2015. The campaign was a social media phenomenon with #LoveYourNHS being shared around the world.
A friendly rivalry with Justin Bieber also summed up the amazing spirit of the campaign, with the pop megastar encouraging everyone (especially his own 80 million followers) to get our choir to the top spot over his own release; ‘Love Yourself’, he went on, in early 2016, to present the choir with their No.1 Award in person and 5 years later even collaborated on a version of his single ‘Holy‘.
