Description
Fernando Delgadillo is the creator of the "canción informal" (informal song), a style that blends humor, everyday life, and poetry. This Mexican singer-songwriter has spent the last 30 years composing and performing songs across Latin America. He currently enjoys recognition from a diverse audience, including long-time followers and younger fans, mostly university students. Throughout his career, Fernando has recorded more than fifteen albums. Every year he performs in cities across Mexico, in both small venues and theaters or auditoriums. In May 2016, he shared the stage with Cuban troubadour Pablo Milanés(+) and protest singer Óscar Chávez(+) in a concert titled "De poeta a poeta" that sold out the Auditorio Nacional. He holds annual concerts at Parque Naucalli in his hometown of Naucalpan, from which he recorded the live double album *Febrero 13*; in 2022 he performed for the first time at the Vive Latino Festival.
Alejandro Filio is an internationally recognized Mexican singer-songwriter, poet, and musician. A prominent artist of the movement known as "Canto nuevo," he is one of the most influential singer-songwriters in contemporary trova in Mexico. With more than 40 years of career, his work is distinguished by a poetic focus and a deep social and romantic sensibility. Alejandro Filio defines himself as a troubadour who backs with his life what he writes with his hand, seeking to interpret popular feeling. He was the first Spanish-speaking artist, alongside Fernando Delgadillo, to perform at the International Television Festival in Beijing. Filio has maintained a prolific output, with *FILIO XII* being one of his most recent studio works.
