In 2026, Segovia will specially celebrate the Jubilee Year of Saint John of the Cross, an event of great spiritual and cultural importance for the city, closely linked to the presence and legacy of the saint. Throughout the year, various commemorative activities will take place, detailed in a specific program complementary to the proposals included in Segovia with Soul. On this occasion, you will visit the Sanctuary of La Fuencisla. Located in a privileged setting next to the Eresma River, it is one of the city's most important devotional sites. Connected to Marian worship since the Middle Ages, it houses the image of the Virgin of La Fuencisla, Patron Saint of Segovia, whose feast day is celebrated every September 25th. The current complex, of Baroque origin, has historically been a place of pilgrimage and spiritual reference for the people of Segovia.
