Description
A world reference in flamenco dance, the Compañía Antonio Gades returns to Rio de Janeiro with a show featuring two iconic acts: Bodas de Sangre, inspired by the work of Federico García Lorca, and Suite Flamenca.
Created 50 years ago by Antonio Gades in partnership with filmmaker Carlos Saura, Bodas de Sangre established flamenco as a language capable of telling profound stories, creating a natural dialogue between dance, theater, and avant-garde. The longevity of this choreography, performed worldwide to this day, confirms its strength and timeless beauty.
Suite Flamenca offers the rare opportunity to rediscover a flamenco that was avant-garde in its time and that, due to its authenticity, has become a classic, featuring solos, duets, and ensembles that explore the expressive potential of the art form.
