Description
The Gospel Helios choir, directed by Dominique Magloire, offers an extraordinary performance by exploring different types of gospel. It performs in the prestigious Parisian churches of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, La Madeleine, Saint-Sulpice and Saint-Philippe-du-Roule.
On the program, you will have the pleasure of hearing iconic gospel songs, such as "Oh Happy Day", "Amazing Grace" and "Oh When the Saints", performed by the best current French gospel artists.
Dominique Magloire developed her passion for music as a child by joining gospel choirs. She gained national and international recognition by participating in several musicals such as Gone with the Wind, Cleopatra and The Twist Years. Her reputation also led to her being involved in the productions Gospel for 100 Voices and Gospel on the Hill.
Dominique Magloire has also explored other forms of vocal art. She studied lyrical singing at the conservatoire and won prizes in singing and chamber music. She has thus had the opportunity to perform major classical works, such as Verdi's Traviata, Mozart's Requiem and Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.
In 2012, she was a revelation on the TV show The Voice, performing Johnny Hallyday songs. In 2015, she appeared in the musical Gospel on the Hill at the Folies Bergère. In 2019, she participated in the show Together hosted by Éric Antoine and Garou. She also appeared in the musical Menopause, written and directed by Alex Goude. In 2021, Dominique Magloire took part in the all-stars season of The Voice to celebrate the show's 10-year anniversary. 
Drawing on her extensive experience, she is also the artistic director of "Gospel Hélios," an ensemble dedicated to promoting gospel music in the Parisian churches of Saint-Germain des Prés and La Madeleine.
