Discussion: Robots on Fire

Discussion: Robots on Fire

A way to engage your brain in the local boozer! Out with lager louts and in with beer brainiacs! The Pint of Science festival aims to deliver interesting and relevant talks on the latest science research in an accessible format to the public – all in the pub! This talk at The Bolton is all about megafires. The first discussion is held by Dr Guillermo Rein, Reader in Thermal Energy at Imperial College London, who'll be talking about how smouldering fires ignite, spread, and extinguish, and how we can create the technology that will reduce the environmental burden of smouldering fires. This will be followed by a talk from Dr Ravi Vaidyanathan, Senior Lecturer in Bio-Mechatronics at Imperial College London, who will share his experience in the field of bio-mechatronics, and how this can help fight megafires. Cheers to that! Stimulate your liquor-starved neurons at the pub with a Pint of Science!
