Description
La Banda Feliz delivers an anarchic, eclectic, and fun-filled show, reimagining classics like El tractor amarillo, Sigo siendo el rey, Menea el Bullarengue, and Las Burbujitas de Freixenet. Formed in 2011, the band soon began writing original songs, including Jevis de Gimnasio, San Frufri, Taburete, and Reggaetón de los Oficios. Their style spans Hard Rock, Rumba, Ska, Funk, Bluegrass, and Pop Rock, tackling themes such as smokers vs. non-smokers, irresponsible use of social media, the mistreatment of the Spanish language, or even Spain’s 2017 Eurovision performance. With playful energy and a knack for surprising versions, La Banda Feliz aims to shake up the Segovian music scene. Troupé De La Merced is an acoustic orquestina that was born in the 1970s in Segovia’s well-known San Andrés neighborhood. The band is known for its apparent — and often very real — anarchy and the carefree vibe of its performances. Members include Carlos Angulo, Cuco Pérez, Luisa Pérez, Ignacio Vidaechea “El Búho,” Gaspar Payá, Diego Peñalosa, Rodrigo Muñoz, and Carlos Gómez “Lechón.” Their concerts follow one simple rule: they don’t know how to begin or how to end, and whatever happens in between is largely improvised. If it works, great; if it doesn’t, well, it was bound to happen. With a repertoire as eclectic as its lineup, Troupé has seen a long parade of musicians pass through — some of them excellent. Killmanjarto, a Segovian DJ and music producer, invites the audience on a sonic journey that can transport you anywhere in the world. Active as a DJ since 2000, he has played sets across clubs and festivals both in Spain and abroad. His music blends Latin, Afro, and Caribbean rhythms with reggae, soul, funk, and electronic sounds. For this edition of Música Diversa, he will present his most playful side with just one mission: to keep the crowd dancing from the first track to the very last.
