šŸ’„MEET Digital Culture Center
MEET Digital Culture Center is Italy’s first International Center for Digital Art and Culture. Founded in Milan in 2018 with the support of Fondazione Cariplo and Maria Grazia Mattei, it formally opened to the public in October 2020 with the aim of helping to bridge the Italian digital divide by promoting international initiatives in immersive spaces.

MEET explores and presents people, languages, creative ideas, and innovative projects through a programme of activities such as talks, exhibitions, educational experiences, performances, and experiences that put people at the centre of technological change.

ONGOING EVENTS

🌟Other Intelligences (13 November to January 2026)
Tuesday to Sunday – Immersive Room, Gallery, and Lounge
Other Intelligences, a group exhibition curated by Sabine Himmelsbach and Marlene Wenger, co-curated by Maria Grazia Mattei for the Italian edition, and produced by HEK (House of Electronic Arts Basel) in collaboration with MEET Digital Culture Center, explores forms of cognition different from our own. Systems that perceive, process, and adapt according to logics that pass neither through a brain nor an algorithm. The exhibition avoids cognitive hierarchies: instead, it analyses and discovers protocols for relationships. How do we communicate with those who perceive time differently, who process information through their bodies rather than their minds, and who think collectively rather than as individuals? Other Intelligences builds a space where human, plant, animal, and artificial meet, and where art becomes a laboratory for possible relationships between biology, technology, and imagination.

PERMANENT CONTENT

🌟 Renaissance Dreams
Every Tuesday – Immersive Room
The celebrated Turkish media artist Refik Anadol, who exhibited in Italy for the first time at MEET in 2020, created ā€œRenaissance Dreamsā€ specifically for the Centre’s Immersive Room. This site-specific work is generated with the help of AI. Images drawn from a dataset of artworks produced in Italy during the Renaissance (1300–1600) flow before the viewer’s eyes, transformed and reinterpreted by algorithms that mutate forms, colours, and create original sounds.Ā

🌟The Roots of the New
Tuesday to Sunday – MEET Digital Culture Center
The Roots of the New is a work-in-progress project that retraces, through the collection of posters, iconic objects, and videos of exhibitions, festivals, and key events from the Italian and international scenes held in the MEET Archive, the fundamental stages of digital creative evolution. By visiting and exploring MEET’s three floors, you can immerse yourself in a walk among the artists and movements that, from the last century to the present day, have launched the process of research and expressive experimentation sparked by the advent of digital technologies.
