💥The MEET Digital Culture Center
MEET Digital Culture Center is Italy’s first International Center for Digital Art and Culture. Founded in Milan in 2018 with the support of Fondazione Cariplo and visionary curator Maria Grazia Mattei, MEET officially opened to the public in October 2020 with the mission of bridging the Italian digital divide. It promotes immersive, internationally-oriented experiences that place human beings at the heart of technological evolution.
MEET believes that innovation is a cultural phenomenon first, and technological second. It fosters growth, opportunity, and well-being for all citizens by exploring and presenting people, languages, creative ideas, and pioneering projects. The Center hosts a rich program of exhibitions, performances, talks, educational events, and immersive experiences that reconnect people with the technology shaping their lives.
🟠 Admission grants access to all current exhibitions and experiences at MEET. 🟠
⭐ CURRENTLY ON DISPLAY
🌟 Memory Coexistence (October 1–28, 2025)
Tuesday to Sunday – Immersive Room, Gallery and Lounge
A showcase of 21 works by collectives and individual artists, developed from the long-standing City Digital Skin Art Festival, which promoted a vision of digital art as a collective, participatory event in cities across Asia and Europe. Curated by Yuelai Ruan, Susa Pop, Maria Grazia Mattei, and Dominique Moulon, Memory Coexistence explores the universal theme of memory—both intimate and shared—across cultural and psychological backgrounds, as a defining element of our technological age.
🌟 Renaissance Dreams by Refik Anadol
Immersive Room | Every Tuesday (Permanent installation)
Internationally acclaimed Turkish media artist Refik Anadol presents a site-specific immersive work generated by artificial intelligence. Drawing from an extensive dataset of Italian Renaissance art (1300–1600), Renaissance Dreams reinterprets historic imagery through AI algorithms that morph colors, shapes, and sounds—offering a hypnotic journey through art history.
🌟 Le radici del nuovo (The Roots of the New)
Tuesday to Sunday – MEET Digital Culture Center
An ongoing project that explores the evolution of digital creativity through posters, iconic objects, and videos of key exhibitions and festivals from the MEET Archive. Spanning three floors of the Center, this walk-through exhibit immerses visitors in the artists and movements that have shaped digital experimentation from the 20th century to today.
🕶️ VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE
Every Saturday and Sunday, MEET offers a curated selection of VR content available to all visitors. Explore immersive stories and environments tailored to different interests and preferences—another way to dive into digital culture.
🆕 COMING SOON
🌟 Other Intelligences (November 12 – January 2026)
Tuesday to Sunday – Immersive Room, Gallery and Lounge
Curated by Sabine Himmelsbach and Marlene Wenger, and produced by HEK (House of Electronic Arts Basel) in collaboration with MEET, this exhibition explores non-human forms of cognition—systems that perceive, adapt, and process in ways that go beyond brains or algorithms. Rather than enforcing hierarchies, it highlights how we might relate to beings that sense time differently, think through the body, or act as collective entities. Other Intelligences invites visitors into a space where human, animal, plant, and artificial intelligences meet through art.
🌟 Flux – Female Digital Creativity (December 9–14)
Tuesday to Sunday – Lounge and Living Staircase
A three-year project co-funded by the European Commission and promoted by four international partners—MEET (Milan), Labin Art Express XXI (Croatia), Alice in Blockchains (Croatia), and Museum of Transitory Art (Slovenia)—Flux aims to support women and female-identifying artists working with digital technologies and media art, particularly blockchain and NFTs.
From November 4 to 9, MEET will host the final exhibition showcasing the work of 11 artists selected through an international open call. The results of workshops, conferences, artist residencies, and training activities will be on display in the Lounge and Living Staircase. MEET marks the third and final stop of a touring exhibition previously shown in Istria and Ljubljana.
