Description
Take a guided tour of the tower, the highest point from where you can admire Segovia, and explore four levels, including a visit to the house where the bell ringer and his family once lived. You will discover Segovia from the highest viewpoint in the city, nearly 88 meters above ground. The climb is made via a spiral staircase, and the guide shares the history of the Cathedral and the tower. It was once the tallest in Spain at 108 meters until September 18, 1614, when a lightning strike caused a fire in the wooden spire that crowned it. It was rebuilt, this time in stone. The tour begins in the Audiovisual Room with an immersive video mapping experience featuring 3D recreations. The second stairway leads to the Bell Ringer's House, which has retained its original layout with a kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms. On the third level, above the Bell Ringer's House, the Clock Room is visited to explain the mechanism of the bells. Finally, the well-deserved reward of reaching the bell tower after climbing 199 steps, offering the most beautiful views of Segovia and its natural surroundings.
