Description
Through beautiful pine forests, oak groves and holm oaks, we will seek out the origins of the Segovia Aqueduct in the Acebeda stream. Once reaching the dam, we will follow part of the pipeline route, learning why and how this feat of engineering was built. It promises to be a beautiful route to learn about the rich water culture behind this Spanish province. The guide will be David Martín Carretero, biologist and co-owner of the company Tenada del Monte. Dedicated to the interpretation of natural and cultural heritage, as well as important research into the traditional management of natural resources, Carretero is an expert in the field with a total of 20 years of experience. Having gained extensive knowledge, he has authored more than 20 publications, many of them related to water and its traditional uses.
