Description

Feel the majesty of the ”Dama de las Catedrales” and the ancient royal residence

This tour is perfect for those who want to experience history in all its splendor, without missing a thing along the way. The complete guided tour will allow you to know every corner of the city and two of the main jewels of Segovia: the Cathedral and the Alcazar.

The tour will begin at the foot of the Aqueduct which, with 2000 years of history, is possibly the best preserved Roman aqueduct in the world.

Walking along "Calle Real", the main axis of the city, you'll get to know some of the most interesting historical points of the city.

Stopping at Plaza Mayor, you'll have the chance to marvel at an impressive architectural feat: the "Lady of the Cathedrals".  The Cathedral of Segovia, a magnificent example of late Gothic architecture, stands beautiful and elegant, revealing centuries of grandiose history in each of its stones.

The tour will continue through the neighborhood of Canonjías until reaching the Alcazar, an impressive castle converted into a royal residence in the 13th century, which acquired its unmistakable Gothic appearance during the times of John II and Henry IV, and was the residence of several generations of monarchs of the Trastámara dynasty.
