A visit to the Musée Maritime de Charlevoix is a spectacular voyage of discovery into the fascinating history of Charlevoix's wooden schooners and their crossing of the St. Lawrence River. The permanent exhibition "Des navires et des hommes" tells the story of the shipyard built in 1946. Listen to the stories of the men who built and sailed the wooden schooners on the St. Lawrence, before they disappeared from the river landscape in the 1970s. Climb aboard four boats to discover the history of maritime transport and coastal navigation. Don't miss the "Parc des navigateurs" outdoor exhibit, nestled in a forest that grows the varieties of trees needed to build a wooden schooner!
