Description
The brain is the physical place where the mind resides; it is the vessel in which the electronic impulses that create thought are contained. With your brain, you coordinate your movements, your organism, and your activities, but you also thinkβyou muse at what happened in the past, what is happening in the present and what might happen in the future. All psychoactive substances, from coffee to pharmaceuticals to street drugs, change the way the mind operates. In this illuminating talk, world-famous brain scientist Professor David Nutt will cover the range of understandings that modern science has given us into the evolving function of the brain and how it interacts with psychoactive drugs. Come and learn everything our brain has managed to discover about itself!
