Londonβs finest Cuban/Afro collective Cubafrobeat heads to the Jazz Cafe for a night that celebrates the cross-pollination of two of the worldβs most enduring musical styles. As the title foretells, this is a blend of Cuban dance music and Nigerian/Yoruban Afrobeat - a fusion rendered seamless by the synergies existing between Afro-Cuban and Yoruban music, language and mythology. Cubafrobeat is a groove train that travels between Havana, Cuba, Lagos and Nigeria; fuelled by a London sensibility, it shows off the talent of UKβs top Cuban and Afrobeat specialists.
