Description
Can you imagine finding leaves, fruits, seeds and trees hidden in works of art? In this family workshop, we will explore the galleries of the Royal Collections Gallery to discover how nature is represented in paintings, tapestries and other objects, and what these elements can tell us about everyday life at the Royal Sites. Through games and clues, we will follow the journey of a harvest: preparing the soil, sowing seeds, caring for plants, waiting for them to grow and, finally, gathering their fruits. A fun and engaging way to look at works of art from a different perspective and discover the stories behind the trees, landscapes and fruits depicted in them. After the visit, the harvest continues in the workshop! Each family will create and decorate their own small basket using cardboard and a variety of textured materials. Then, using air-drying clay, participants will model leaves, fruits and seeds inspired by the natural elements they discovered during the visit. An experience to look, touch and create - and to take a little piece of autumn home with you.
