Our commitment to the planet
The goal of the Water Lantern Festival is to always leave places in a better state than we found them. In keeping with the "Leave No Trace" philosophy, we collect all the lanterns after the event and even remove waste already present in the water. Our lanterns are 100% sustainable: they are made from biodegradable rice paper, wooden bases, and LED candles that are reused and recycled in order to reduce our environmental footprint.
