Debate the case, question the motives and cast your votes throughout the show. Decide who walks free... and who pays the price, this is jury duty like you've never experienced it before.

A nurse is on trial for the deaths of terminally ill patients who begged to die. She acted, but was it mercy, or murder? Hear testimonies from grieving families and medical professionals, examine patient records, consent documents, and the limits of duty of care. The law draws a hard line, but when a patient is suffering and the end is inevitable, who gets to decide how it ends?

Content warning: this experience includes themes of terminal illness, assisted dying, and end-of-life decisions. There are detailed discussions of patient deaths and medical ethics. The performance contains moments of intense emotional conflict.

About the venueUniversity of Maryland Baltimore

Located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building, the recital hall is home to dozens of music concerts each semester. The music department complements its numerous faculty concerts and student recitals with performances by the UMBC Symphony, Maryland Camerata and other ensembles, as well as international artists with an emphasis in new classical music.
