Description
To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Congregação Israelita Paulista (CIP), we present “A Place for Us – From Broadway to Brazil”, a very special night dedicated to the history, music, and values that unite tradition, art, and hope.
This show takes you on an emotional journey through time: from the emergence of Broadway classics, to their arrival in Brazil in the 1950s—thanks to pioneers Victor Berbara and Oscar Ornstein—and onto the vibrant resurgence of the last 25 years, during which the genre has once again captivated the Brazilian audience with full force.
Inspired by the anthem of tolerance and reconciliation "Somewhere" (from the musical West Side Story), this performance reflects the principles of ethics, dialogue, and human dignity that have guided CIP for nine decades. More than a show, it is a symbolic celebration of culture, memory, and inspiration for generations to come. Get your tickets for A Place for Us – From Broadway to Brazil at Sala São Paulo!
