To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Congregação Israelita Paulista (CIP), we present “A Place for Us – From Broadway to Brazil”, a very special night dedicated to the history, music, and values that unite tradition, art, and hope.
The show offers an emotional journey through time: from the emergence of Broadway’s great classics, through their arrival in Brazil in the 1950s — thanks to pioneers Victor Berbara and Oscar Ornstein — to the vibrant resurgence of the last 25 years, a period in which the genre has once again captured Brazilian audiences with full force.
Inspired by the anthem of tolerance and reconciliation Somewhere (from the musical West Side Story), this show reflects the principles of ethics, dialogue, and human dignity that have guided CIP for nine decades.
