The blending of all these cultures—indigenous, European, and African—triggered a profound cultural and social transformation. As a result of this multicultural fusion, the music of these nations began to take shape; a music whose essence and richness lie in its wide variety of styles, rhythms, harmonies, and melodies that share the same language.
