This selection from the opera "L'incoronazione di Poppea" focuses on the love triangle between the
Roman emperor Nero, empress Ottavia, and the courtesan Poppea. Nero condemns Ottavia to
exile and marries Poppea, crowning her as the new empress of Rome.
