Description
In 2026, Segovia will specially celebrate the Jubilee Year of Saint John of the Cross, a spiritually and culturally significant occasion for the city, closely linked to the saint's presence and legacy. Throughout the year, various commemorative activities will take place and can be found in a dedicated program, complementing the initiatives included in Segovia with Soul. On this occasion, you'll enjoy a guided tour exploring the Stations of the Cross, traditionally held on Holy Wednesday in the Orchard of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers' Convent. This orchard was founded by Saint John of the Cross, a figure of great importance in Segovia, whose Jubilee Year is being celebrated this year. The route invites reflection and prayer, following the steps of Christ's Passion in a setting of remarkable beauty and tranquility. Organized by the Brotherhoods' Council together with the Discalced Carmelites, this activity is a highlight of the city’s religious calendar.
