I’m accused of exaggerating and making things up in my arguments, of having opinions without being informed… And of laughing at things I’m not supposed to laugh at. Honestly, I plead guilty to all three.
But I don’t mind, because every night I step up to the plate to share my best version of the facts, along with my most controversial opinions, relying on a single piece of evidence: the laughter of the audience. So tonight, it’s not the truth that matters, but whether you decide to acquit me.
There comes a time in the show when we switch roles. That’s when anyone who wants to take part puts their case in writing: a relationship argument, a falling out with a friend, something you disagree with or want to challenge… Then the rest of the audience and I will decide the outcome.
The court is now in session. Are you ready to see how I lose the case?
