A Gitano Angel (heir to the Arab-Andalusian spirit) embodies the celestial and cosmic world of Federico García Lorca, accompanied by a masculine energy completed by the soul of a woman. Together they bring poems to life—and what lies behind them: pure emotion, beauty, mystery. An angel, a man, and a woman embody the romances to the rhythm of a guitar. Some become songs, others stories reborn from a past that becomes present and universal. Sorrow, love, the struggle of opposing forces, tragic fate. That which is seen and that which is hidden lingers in the verses of the Romances. To walk among Federico García Lorca's romances is to walk in the forests of his mind. Mysterious poems that leave everyone who hears them spoken, even without having solved the mystery of their meaning, deeply moved. García Lorca has drawn from the people and created a landscape of words with nature, mountains, stars, filled with Andalusian fragrance. From history that apparently remains in the shadows, he draws an entire language to create visual scenes that transport us to a time and place that once existed.
