Description
The Count of Ayllón had seven daughters and no sons. When the queen demands he go to war or send a son, Martina, the youngest daughter, disguises herself as a knight named Don Martín de Ayllón. She saves the prince from an ambush, who discovers her identity and falls in love with her. She overcomes trials with wit and bravery until finally revealing her true identity. A story of courage and freedom, adapted from the traditional romance collected by Menéndez Pidal, deeply rooted in Hispanic tradition with versions across several countries.
