For decades, the staff at Andaz London hotel on Liverpool Street were unaware of what was hiding right under their noses… It wasn’t until a recent renovation that a decadent Masonic Temple was discovered behind an inconspicuous wall, and that’s what this masquerade is all about! In order to celebrate the marbled splendour of the City’s only original Freemasons’ lodge, A Curious Invitation and the East End Film Festival are putting on a macabre night of cabaret, circus and cinema. There’ll be sword swallowers, acrobats, fire wielders, sitarists, films and tarot card readings at this Masonic masquerade party that promises to mix the macabre with the magical!
