The Vaquero House is one of the best-preserved examples of Romanesque civil architecture in Segovia. Located in the Canonjías neighborhood and formerly known as Casa de La Ronda, it preserves a Romanesque structure and a 16th-century mudéjar wooden framework.
On this visit, we will discover the history and characteristics of this unique building, which in 1964 was acquired and restored as a studio by the artist Joaquín Vaquero Palacios, and was later also used as a studio by his son, the artist Joaquín Vaquero Turcios. Currently, the house-museum preserves works by both artists.
A journey through the architecture and history of one of the most singular spaces in the Canonjías, which will allow us to discover up close the medieval heritage of Segovia and its subsequent transformation into a place of artistic creation.
