Seattle Aquarium: Entry Ticket

You can see the full Aquarium in around two hours. Many visitors stay longer for the daily talks, the café and the shops.

The Aquarium's newest building, opened in 2024, built around the Coral Triangle of the Indo-Pacific. It holds more than 5,000 animals and plants and over 40 coral species across The Reef, The Archipelago, One Ocean Hall, At Home in the Ocean and the Discovery Lab.

It is included in your ticket. No upgrade or separate booking is needed.

Nine animal talks and feedings run daily across the three buildings, all free with admission. They cover Washington waters, the tropical reef, harbor seals, the archipelago, marine mammal feeding, northern fur seals, sea otters, and Deep in The Reef at the end of the day.

Puppet Storytime runs Friday to Sunday in Puget Sound Hall.

Yes, for personal use. Turn the flash off, since flashing light disturbs the animals. Commercial photography needs written approval in advance.

Yes. The back deck is the best spot, and there are designated indoor areas. Eating is not permitted in the Ocean Pavilion or at the harbor seal habitat.

The Undersea Explorer VR experience on Pier 59 is $9, with a minimum height of 42 inches. The Above The Reef behind-the-scenes tour is a separate 75-minute booking for a maximum of six people, age 6 and up, and includes general admission.

Yes. One ticket covers Pier 59, Pier 60 and the Ocean Pavilion.

Yes. Tickets are timed and valid for the date and entry time shown. Last entry is 5 PM.

Children 3 and under enter free. From age 4 a ticket is required, with reduced pricing for ages 4 to 12.

All ticket sales are final and cannot be refunded, exchanged or otherwise modified.

Take Link light rail line 1 or 2 to Symphony Station, then walk west on University Street toward the water and turn north on Alaskan Way. Washington State Ferries dock at Colman Dock, Pier 52, and the West Seattle and Vashon water taxis at Pier 50, both a short walk south. Several King County Metro routes serve the waterfront, and the free Waterfront Shuttle runs through the summer.

The Aquarium has no car park of its own. The Pike Place Market Garage has over 800 stalls with an elevator down to the waterfront, and the Platinum Parking Hillclimb Garage at 1422 Alaskan Way is directly across the street. Street parking on Alaskan Way is metered and limited to four hours. Parking is free with a valid City of Seattle disability placard.

Yes. All buildings, habitats and restrooms are accessible. Wheelchairs can be borrowed free from the Guest Services desks in Pier 59 and the Ocean Pavilion, first come first served, in exchange for ID and a phone number. There is an accessible drop-off zone on Alaskan Way.

Yes. The Aquarium is a certified sensory-inclusive venue through KultureCity, with trained staff and sensory bags available. Assistive listening runs through the ListenWIFI app in Puget Sound Hall, Life on the Edge and the Ocean Pavilion, and hearing loops and headphones can be borrowed from Guest Services.

Trained service animals meeting the ADA standard, meaning dogs or miniature horses, are welcome on a non-retractable leash and under handler control. Emotional support animals cannot come inside, but you can leave and re-enter to spend time with them.

Strollers are welcome, though there are none to rent and no secure storage. Coat check at Guest Services is limited to whatever space allows, there are no lockers, and luggage or large items cannot be accommodated.

The Seattle Aquarium Café is on the second floor of Pier 59, open 10 AM to 4 PM. Barney's Snack Shack near the Underwater Dome on Pier 60 opens Friday to Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM. There are water bottle filling stations throughout.

Yes. There is a private Mamava pod in Pier 59 and a nursing area on level 1 of the Ocean Pavilion.
