From there, your local guide will lead you through some of the city's most fascinating landmarks, starting with Rossio Square, before taking you into the winding streets of Alfama.
As you explore, your guide will bring Lisbon's history to life through fascinating stories about the city's past, its people, traditions and legends.
You'll visit the area around the Sé Cathedral, hear the story of Saint Anthony, explore the maze-like streets of Alfama and learn about the neighbourhood's connection to Fado and the Portuguese idea of saudade.
And because exploring Lisbon works up an appetite, you'll also enjoy a traditional Pastel de Nata included in your experience. For those who would like to try something a little stronger, there is also an optional stop for a Ginjinha, Lisbon's famous sour-cherry liqueur. Please note that the Ginjinha tasting is not included in the tour price.
Your journey continues to the beautiful Miradouro de Santa Luzia, where you'll have a chance to take in the views over Alfama. Finally, you'll arrive at Miradouro das Portas do Sol, where your guide will bring the story of Alfama full circle.
