Description
do you know how popular music was played in the 19th century? Did flamenco exist as we understand it today? How has that music come down to us? There are no recordings of this historical period, but it is collected in scores. This program explores some of these scores in search of the "ways of making" music that were typical, on the one hand, of Spanish popular songs and, on the other hand, of flamenco, so closely linked to each other. The aim is to recreate their codes through a reworked discourse with the musical elements found in such scores, taking into account the later ways of doing things. The confluence of the classical and flamenco guitars with the flute and the voice of Fátima Rü show the enormous transmitting power of these echoes of the past, perfectly recognizable in our days.
